People march in Hyderabad, Sukkur, Nawabshah in solidarity with Kashmiri brethren

The people of Hyderabad on Friday expressed solidarity and support for the people of Illegally Indian-Occupied Kashmir (IIOJK) by taking out rallies and condemning India's brutal suppression of innocent Kashmiris.

The official rally, led by Additional Commissioner Farrukh Shahzad and Deputy Commissioner Fuad Ghaffar Soomro started from Shahbaz Building which is the regional bureaucracy's headquarters.

The rally walked its way to the General Post Office (GPO) where the participants expressed their views.

DC Fuad said India should implement the United Nations resolution which called for a plebiscite in the IIoJK. Hesaid Kashmir was an integral part of Pakistan and soon the people of IIoJK would get rid of the Indian suppression.

The civil society activists, teachers, students and scouts also took part in the rally. Many other political and religious parties also organized walks and held protests in Hyderabad.

In connection with Youm-e-Istehsal, Civil Defence Department Deputy Controller Ameeruddin Abbasi led a rally on Minara Road in Sukkur on Friday to express solidarity with oppressed Kashmiri people.

People belonging to different walks of life including government officials, social workers and citizens participated in the rally.

Carrying banners, the participants chanted slogans in support of Kashmiri people and against the Indian atrocities.

Speakers said every Pakistani is aware of its national responsibility and stands by their Kashmiri brothers and sisters. They paid rich tribute to the unwavering struggle of the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, they expressed the hope that Kashmiri people will succeed in achieving their right to self-determination.

Like other parts of the country Kashmir Siege Day was observed in District Shaheed Benazirabad.

In this regard a rally led by Assistant Commissioner Nawabshah Iqbal Ahmed Tunio was organized that commenced from the office of Deputy Commissioner and after marching city roads concluded at Nawabshah Press Club.

The rally was participated by Additional Director Social Welfare Muhammad Sabir Qureshi, Deputy Director Education Javed Ahmed Unar, officials from different departments including revenue, information, education and others, representatives of social welfare organizations, teachers and students in large numbers. The rally participants were chanting slogans against Indian atrocities on people of Kashmir.

Addressing the rally participants, Assistant Commissioner Iqbal Ahmed Tunio and others said that India went back the promises it made with International community and against the resolutions of United Nations on Kashmir on August 5 some three years back, revoked Article 35A and Article 370 of the India Constitution and declared the disputed area of Jammu and Kashmir as its part. The rally strongly condemned this act of India.
