BAHAWALPUR:

Deputy Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia chaired a meeting of the District Emergency Response Committee for Prevention of Dengue at his office on Tuesday.

The meeting reviewed measures taken to control dengue. CEO Health Dr Muhammad Iqbal Makwal, DHO Preventive Medicine Dr Khalid Mehmood Arain, Focal Person and DHO Dr Khalid Chanar, Entomologist and other officers and focal persons attended the meeting.

The DC stated that to stop the growth of dengue larvae, it is important to prevent water from remaining accumulated in one place and to raise the awareness among people in this regard. Additionally, the DC directed members of indoor and outdoor surveillance teams to work actively.
