Five arrested after alleged police encounters
The police have arrested five suspects in injured condition after separate alleged encounters and recovered weapons from their possession.
According to details, Zaman Town police arrested three injured robbers after an exchange of fire near the Korangi on Saturday. The suspected robbers were immediately shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medical assistance.
An official of Zaman Town Police said that the accused were identified as Gibran, Yusuf, and Muhammad Alam. Two pistols, mobile phones and motorcycles were recovered from their possession. The arrested suspects have confessed their involvement in various street crimes and incidents in the city said the police. The police will further interrogate the suspects once they recover from injuries.
Meanwhile, Sukhan Police arrested two injured robbers, identified as Muqqaddar Ali and Gulshair, in injured condition near Para no Goth Pulio, while their accomplices managed to escape from the scene.
According to the police, the suspects identified as Muqqaddar Ali and Gulshair were involved in several street crimes in the city. Pistols, a motorcycle, and other valuables were recovered from them. They were shifted to JPMC for immediate medical assistance.
