Ben Affleck set to return as Batman for 'Aquaman 2'
Not Robert Pattinson but seems like another actor is all set to put on the infamous batsuit once again in the sequel of Jason Momoa and Amber Heard-starrer, Aquaman. Ben Affleck will once again star as the caped crusader in the upcoming DC film.
“Reunited Bruce and Arthur,” Momoa wrote on Instagram, along with a photo of him and Affleck. “Love you and miss you, Ben. WB studio tours just explored the backlot alright. Busted on set all great things coming Aquaman 2, all my aloha j.”
Affleck, who recently made headlines thanks to his marriage with the old flame and popular singer, Jennifer Lopez, most recently played Bruce Wayne/Batman in 2017’s superhero mashup Justice League (and in last year’s Zack Snyder director’s cut) and in 2016’s Suicide Squad. The two-time Oscar winner played the dual role in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and it is set to reprise for next year’s The Flash. Momoa played Aquaman in Batman v Superman and Justice League.
Momoa is reprising his role as the waterlogged title hero aka Arthur Curry, while James Wan will return as the director. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick. Plot details remain submerged, but Heard is back for more, alongside Patrick Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Dolph Lundgren, Nicole Kidman, Randall Park and others.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is all set to release on March 17 next year.
