Groom’s brother dies on wedding day in Okara
Guests who had come for the wedding ended up attending the funeral instead
OKARA:
A household where pre-marriage festivities reigned for over a week was struck by a tragedy on the very day when the wedding ceremony was supposed to take place.
The guests who had arrived for attending the wedding ceremony ended up at the funeral of one Asad, the younger brother of the bridegroom, Mubashir, a resident of Anwar Block in Okara.
Asad had been assigned to accompany a truck laden with dowry items and guide it to the groom’s house.
The truck unfortunately came into contact with a naked electric wire which transmitted electric current into the truck, killing Asad instantly.
