ISLAMABAD:

Former Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) Regional Director Naheed Manzoor has said she believes that Pakistan has the potential to become one of the 20 largest economies of the world by its Platinum Jubilee.

She shared this while attending a musical concert titled “Azam Alishan, Shad Rahey Pakistan”, organised by RAC in connection with the upcoming Diamond Jubilee of Pakistan. Naheed was the chief guest of the programme along with RAC Director Waqar Ahmed.

Naheed further said that on the occasion of Pakistan's Diamond Jubilee celebrations, we must also remember our ancestors, whose sacrifices are the reason we are breathing in free air.

“In the last seven decades, Pakistan has developed in every sector despite seeing many crises,” she said, adding that significant achievements have been made in the fields of education, health, agriculture, heavy industry, dams, infrastructure and services. “Today, Pakistan is among the 40 largest economies in the world. And till Pakistan's Platinum Jubilee, Pakistan will be included in the 20 largest economies of the world.”

Paying tribute to the nation’s scientists, Naheed said that by working day and night, they made Pakistan a nuclear power to reckon with. “I have full confidence that the future of Pakistan is bright,” she said.

At the end of the show, the playwright congratulated all the singers for presenting a beautiful rendition of the song.
