SHO suspended over negligence

A person was killed while another was seriously injured, later succumbed to their injuries, following a brawl

Regional Police Officer (RPO) Riffat Mukhtar Raja suspended Station House Officer (SHO) Kahror Pakka Farhat Abbas and Sub-Inspector Asghar Ali on Saturday over alleged negligence of duty regarding a murder on Eid day. He additionally recommended the suspension of DSP Afzal Ahmad Khan, handing over the departmental regular inquiry to SSP Operations Multan Hassam bin Iqbal.

Speaking on the occasion, the RPO said that negligence of duty is unacceptable.

In the incident, a person was killed while another was seriously injured, who later succumbed to their injuries, following a brawl between two groups. Later, one group set fire to the houses of their rivals. RPO Riffat Mukhtar Raja and Commissioner Multan Aamir Khattak reached the victim’s house and assured them of dispensation of justice.
