Robbery cases on the rise in Khalabat

Request were made to ensure the incidents of robbery were minimised along with constant police patrolling

HARIPUR:

The numbers of robbery cases are on the rise within the limits of Khalabat Police Station as over a dozen houses were robbed at different times in the past few days.

To discuss the situation, a delegation of the region arrived to meet the SHO of Khalabat police station and requested him to arrest the suspects and deploy policemen to minimize theft cases. The police station also received a written petition with numerous civilian signatures.

Similarly, District Police Officer Haripur and DIG Hazara were requested to make sure that the incidents of robbery were minimised and constant police patrolling should be ensured.

Talking to the media, a mechanic, master Pervaiz, said that thieves have undertaken control of our neighbourhood and resultantly, the number of theft incidents is rising daily. He also disclosed that around 8 to 10 houses have already been looted, and the residents have sustained financial losses as a result.
