Abbasi Shaheed Hospital doctors, who have not been paid salaries for the last five months, continued their protest and boycotted the wards and OPDs for the 12th consecutive day as a result, patients are facing serious problems for not being attended.
The protestors also tried to block the slip counters and information desks of OPDs. However, senior postgraduates and house officers continue to perform their duties.
The angry doctors said that their protest would continue until their outstanding salaries are paid.
They said that despite the lack of good quality medical facilities in the hospital, they carried out their responsibilities with due diligence but the hospital authorities are continuously showing irresponsibility by not addressing their grievances.
