Int’l community urged to take note of Indian brutalities in Kashmir
Jammu & Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) Chairman Altaf Ahmed Bhat said that July 19 is remembered in the light of the historic resolution passed on this day in 1947 to make the accession of the state of Jammu and Kashmir with Pakistan a reality.
Bhat said that on July 19, 1947, the resolution passed by the Kashmiri people in Srinagar, 25 days before the creation of Pakistan, was a clear message to India and the world that Kashmiris do not want to live with India before, now or in the future.
“Today, we once again reiterate the determination of the historic struggle of the brave Kashmiri people,” he said.
The chairman further added that the international community should stop India's illegal, immoral, political and unilateral actions of suspending Articles 35A and 370 and the international community should condemn the ongoing Indian brutality in Jammu and Kashmir and bring the criminals of the Indian occupation army to justice.
He said that despite the cruelty, violence and injustice at the hands of the occupying Indian forces, the struggle of Kashmiris for independence from Indian occupation will bear fruit.
Bhat said, “Sustainable peace in South Asia depends on a peaceful resolution of the conflict in accordance with the UN resolutions.”
