Three killed in violent crimes in Lahore
Three people, including a woman, were killed and nine sustained injuries in four incidents of violence in the provincial capital on Tuesday. The youngest victim, a five-year-old boy, was injured.
The first case was reported in Badamibagh, where a suspect allegedly shot his wife. The victim, identified as Rashida Bibi was going somewhere on foot when the suspect, identified as Khalid alias Nomi Butt, intercepted her in the street and opened fire.
As a result, Rashida and a five-year-old passerby, Abdullah, sustained bullet injuries. Rashida succumbed to her injuries on the spot, while the injured boy was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. The suspect fled the scene, however police arrested him within two hours.
In another incident, a man was shot dead in Kahna. Reportedly, Shaukat Chauhan was a farmer at Shahzada village and was sitting outside his house at the time of the incident.
