KARACHI:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former Sindh Governor Imran Islamil on Monday said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) is looking for an escape route to avoid imminent defeat by PTI in local government elections due on July 24.

Speaking at a press conference at Khilafat Chowk, Ismail said Pakistan Peoples Party is blaming PTI for fanning ethnic animosity; on the contrary, Imran Khan stands as a popular leader of all people of Pakistan.

He reiterated that PTI does not indulges itself in petty provincial and ethnic politics, rather it believes in unity in diversity and respects multilingual and multicultural nature of the country. Ismail was accompanied by PTI senior leader and nominated candidate for UC 1 and 6 Nazimabad Town Chairman Ashraf Jaba Qureshi.

Ismail, apologizing to the media and guests said he was sorry for being late, but the road in fornt of the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital was in such a bad shape that it took time to traverse through potholes and ditches flooded with stranded rainwater. This is a minor example of the state of governance under PPP and MQM-P, he said.

After the July 17 elections, there is hope that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf will win in the second phase of local elections in Sindh. After Punjab, PTI will win in Sindh too.

He said that Ashraf Qureshi has a habit of always choosing difficult constituencies, this time too he has thought of contesting elections in this constituency, Ashraf Qureshi will have to take drainage measures in this constituency. There will be a revolution in the country through voting.
