Two killed, four injured in separate mugging incidents

Cattle trader was heading home to Tharparkar when robbers killed him to snatch his earnings

KARACHI:

Robbers shot dead a trader and a dumper driver and injured four others during various incidents of robberies.

According to police, Haji Ghulam Muhammad, a cattle trader was shot dead by unidentified suspects near Dalmia Road within the remits of the Shahrae Faisal police station.

The deceased was carrying millions of rupees earned from the sale of sacrificial animals in the last 10 days. He was heading home to Islamkot in Tharparkar when robbers tried to snatch his earnings and killed him for putting up resisitance.

Youth from Waziristan shot dead

A youth was shot dead by two unidentified motorcyclists near Super Highway Noor Mohammad Goth, Janjal Goth, in the Gulshan-e-Maymar area. Chhipa ambulance service shifted the deceased's body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. The deceased was identified as 25-year-old Abdul Qayyum, son of Noor Mohammad, who was a Super Highway Mullah Esa Goth resident. He was the eldest of 5 siblings and a native of Waziristan.

Police say it is initially suspected that robbers killed Abdul Qayyum as he had no enmity with anyone and was a dumper driver by profession.

Robbers opened fire on a man who resisted a robbery near the Superhighway Al- Asif Square in Sohrab Goth, injuring one person. According to police, the injured man was identified as 50-year-old Abdul Jabbar, son of Fateh Mohammad. The injured man was shifted to Jinnah Hospital for medical treatment.

Muggers shot and wounded a man for resisting a robbery and snatched his cash, mobile phones and other belongings near Lal Qila food street in the Tipu Sultan police station area. He was identified as 54-year-old Raja Vishan Das, son of Nomel. The wounded man was shifted to a private hospital on Stadium Road for medical treatment. Police are investigating the incident.

Robbers injured a man when he resisted a looting incident near Sector D-5 Amir-ul-Mominin Imam-bargah in Surjani Town and fled after looting.

The injured man was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital by Chhipa ambulance. According to police, the injured man was identified as 60-year-old Noor Ahmed, son of Chhoto Khan.

A man was injured in a mysterious firing in Block- A Musharraf Colony area of Saeedabad and was shifted to Civil Hospital by Chhipa ambulance. He was identified as 35-year-old Rajab Ali, son of Hali Gul.
