Man kills wife, leaves body to boil on stove

A man allegedly suffocated his wife to death then stuffed her body in a huge pot and left it to boil on the stove before fleeing to his hometown in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, police said.

A mutilated body of a woman, Nargis, 32, was found in the kitchen of a closed school in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Mobina Town Police Station SHO Saleem Awan said.

As per initial investigations, the victim's husband, Ashiq Khan, a native of Parachinar, had brutally slain her. Finding it difficult to fit her in the pot, Ashiq severed one of her legs, SHO Awan said sharing gruesome details of the heinous crime. By the time police reached the crime scene, the body was badly mutilated, he added.

The deceased was a mother of six children while the accused fled the scene with three of her children after the incident.

According to the SHO, the eldest daughter of the slain Nargis, who is around 16 years old, told police in her initial statement that the incident took place on Tuesday. Her father allegedly pressured her mother for immoral activities. When she refused, the man got enraged and and killed her mother.

The victim's daughter further said that she had gone to her uncle's house in Orangi Town on Tuesday night and informed him about the incident. On Wednesday afternoon he returned home and called for an ambulance to take the body. However, when the driver saw the mutilated body, he immediately informed the police.
