‘Over 8.5m vaccinated against Covid-19’

District health officer said 37 vaccination centres, 20 mobile vaccination camps were operational in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD:

Over 8.5 million people have so far been vaccinated against Covid-19 in the district.

The District Health Officer, Dr Ataul Munim, said on Wednesday that 4,651,462 people were injected the first dose while 3,784,727 were administered the second dose of vaccine.

He said that 39,863 health workers were also given the first dose while 44,242 received the second dose of vaccine. Dr Ataul Munim said that sufficient stock of the coronavirus vaccine was available in the district.

The district health officer said that 37 vaccination centres and 20 mobile vaccination camps were operational in Faisalabad where registered people were being vaccinated.

In order to facilitate the people, these centres had been established in various areas of the city, including the Allied Hospital, the District Headquarters Hospital, the Government General Hospital and dozens of others.
