A demonstration was led by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) activists outside the Karachi Press Club on Sunday.
They demanded that the PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif appoint Syed Ghous Ali Shah as the president of the party’s Sindh chapter. Senior activist Zamord Chauhan claimed that Shah’s contribution to the party should not be ignored.
“He strengthened the party in Sindh and was with Mian Nawaz Sharif when he was in exile,” he said. “Nawaz Sharif had promised give responsibilities to those activists who had made sacrifices for the party but when the party was upgraded these people were ignored.” Workers Action Committee vice chairman Engineer Shah Mir Khan said that they had faith in Shah and would not accept any other leader.
He added that they would continue to protest till their demands were met. The protestors were carrying placards and banners with photographs of the party leader and chanting slogans in favour of Shah’s appointment.

Shah deserves to be President. He is the only man in all of Sindh who commands the respect of all the political parties and all the parties, PML-Q, PML-F, PPP want him to be a part of them so they can utilize his administrative abilities.
