PML-Q pledges to support PTI candidates

Elahi says PTI nominated him as joint candidate for CM slot

LAHORE:

Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has said the manifesto of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) is to save the nation from incompetent rulers.

Addressing a by-elections preparation review meeting, held under the chairmanship of MNA Chaudhry Hussain Elahi on Thursday, Elahi said the PTI has nominated him as joint candidate for chief minister in Punjab. “Now it is the duty of the PML-Q to play its role for the victory of the PTI candidates in upcoming by-elections and bring relief to the people by removing this incompetent imported regime. We are giving up everything for public service and supporting Imran Khan,” he underscored.

Elahi revealed that initially, he was not in favour of Imran Khan’s health insurance card scheme, but when it started to be used and people’s expensive treatment became absolutely free, he become convinced of it.

He said the PML-Q workers and office-bearers are participating in the by-election campaign for door to door in the adjoining areas and in this difficult time we would not leave PTI alone.

PTI MPA Nadeem Bara said Elahi has won the hearts of the people by launching 1122 service. Shahbaz Sharif stopped funding for this service and tried to stop it.

The PML-N only talks for public service and does politics in name of people but in reality PML-N has nothing to do with public service.
