Father says she had fresh scars on head, neck

The body of an 11-year-old girl was found in Peshawar’s City Railway Colony.

The girl, identified as Mahnoor, had gone to a small shop in the colony, located only a few steps away from her home. However, she did not return, and a few hours later, her body was recovered from a plot in the colony.

A report of the incident was lodged at Sharqi Police Station.

According to the girl’s father, Muhammad Nazir, his daughter was sent to the nearby shop, but she did not return, and her body was found at night. He revealed that his daughter had fresh scars on her and neck.

According to police officials, there are 40 houses in the colony, in which people from Punjab and other parts of the country are living. A senior police officer said that they have collected evidence from the crime scene, and the girl’s body has been sent for postmortem examination.

The official said that until the results come in, they cannot confirm child sexual abuse in the case, and further investigation will be conducted after the medical report is received.
