47th Int’l Nathiagali Summer College concludes

PAEC organises two-week discourse on scientific knowledge

NATHIAGALI:

The 47th International Nathiagali Summer College (INSC) concluded in Nathiagali on Saturday after a two week discourse on scientific knowledge.

Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) Member Science Dr Masood Iqbal was the chief guest at the closing ceremony. In his address, Dr Iqbal affirmed that the PAEC will support all kinds of scientific linkages developed during this summer college.

He praised the efforts of all seniors who put their heart into it and took personal interest to continue this college without any break for the last 47 years.

Dr Shafqat Karim, Scientific Secretary of 47th INSC, presented an overview of all that is important and fascinating in today's science and technology, which were covered during the two weeks.

He also praised the organising and scientific committees for their untiring efforts for smooth holding of this college.

It may be mentioned that the PAEC has been regularly organising the INSC every year since 1976. This year, 34 experts were invited from different countries including USA, UK, China, Canada, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, South Korea, Malaysia, Brazil, Spain, Turkey, Romania and Estonia to lecture on important topics during the two weeks of the College.

The PAEC had selected about 250 researchers from universities and research organisations from all over Pakistan out of more than 1200 applicants. The 47th college is covering several topics such as Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, High Power Laser Systems and Applications, Recent Trends in 3D Printing and Advances in Quantum Technologies.
