Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety and Chairperson Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) Shazia Atta Marri on Friday announced that BISP offices would be established at tehsil level in Balochistan.
Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club, she said mobile vans would also be provided in various areas of the province.
“Balochistan is our top priority,” she said.
Rozi Khan Kakar, the Secretary-General of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Balochistan, Information Secretary Sardar Sar Buland Jogezai, and others were also present.
Shazia Atta Marri said the BISP would establish offices at the tehsil level to support and facilitate deserving and needy families.
“Our priority is to support needy and deserving women and families across the country, including Balochistan,” she said.
The federal minister arrived in the provincial capital of Balochistan and addressed party supporters.
She urged party workers to forge unity in their ranks and foil conspiracies of anti-party elements.
“We will win next elections if we show unity,” she claimed.
Shazia Marri stated that previous rulers had tried to abolish the BISP for political interests and reasons.
