KARACHI:

A milk shop security guard was killed as he accidentally fired his pistol while sitting at his workplace near North Karachi Sector 9.

According to police, security guard Javed Ismail, 35, who sits outside a well-known milk shop in North Karachi, accidentally fired his pistol and severely injured himself.

Javed was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries after struggling for his life.

Police said the victim got shot in the chest. The police were investigating the incident further.

Meanwhile, another security guard was shot and injured by his colleague after an altercation at their workplace near Creek Hospital in the area of Korangi.

According to details, Yar Muhammad, 28, was working as a security guard was shot and injured by his collegue near Creek Hospital, Korangi.

Police said the victim was shot by his colleague when a quarrel broke out between them. He was rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medical assistance.

The accused managed to escape from the scene. The police were investigating the matter.
