An FIR has been registered against Rawalpindi District Headquarters Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Farzana Zafar, the chief medico-legal officer, two police officials and others at Ganj Mandi police station for preparing a counterfeit medico-legal report (MLR) of an injured man without ascertaining a court order in this regard.

Plaintiff Shahroz Khan, a resident of Mianwali, told the police that a false case has been registered against him at the Kundian police station on the complaint of Momin Khan, who had prepared the fake MLR to implicate the complainant after one of his relatives was injured in a road accident in February this year.

According to the complainant, Momin Khan, who is his opponent, got the MRL prepared with the help of the police officials and the MS, claiming that Sher Ali was tortured and injured by him (Shahroz Khan).

The accused prepared a fictitious order of Ganjmandi Area Magistrate Mubashir Hussain instructing the MS DHQ hospital to issue MLR for Sher Ali.

According to the FIR, the MS Hospital and the chief medico-legal officer prepared the MLR without verifying the court order in this regard.

According to the FIR, police official, Muhammad Shiraz cooperated with the accused in preparing the fictitious MLR as the magistrate did not issue any such order.
