LAHORE:

A district court judge confirmed pre-arrest bails of seven PTI’s MPAs in an FIR registered against ‘unidentified’ persons for allegedly attacking the then acting speaker Sardar Dost Muhammad Mazari, affecting PA’s proceeding, damaging its equipment, creating chaos on April 16 fixed for chief minister’s contest.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s MPAs Basharat Raja, Fayazul Hassan Chohan, Ch Zaheerud Din, Musarat Jamshed Cheema, Seemabia Tahir and other’s bail were confirmed.

Talking to media persons, Chohan said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had constituted a plan of pre-poll rigging but all coward efforts of the PML-N will be foiled with the support of the public.

Everyone will see that people voted in favour of former PM Khan rather than voting to what he called an imported government.

Former law minister Raja said forged cases were registered against them merely to restrain them from supporting Imran Khan. He vowed that PTI and the PML-Q will face all fabricated cases and no one will succeed to nose down their moral and association with former PM Khan.

Accused petitioner’s counsel had implored the court that the aforesaid have nothing to do with this FIR and they were implicated in forged FIR merely to humiliate them.

He informed the court that a plot was made by the PML-N and executed through deputy speaker in Punjab Assembly while the PTI’s MPAs were only thrashed by them.

He contended that police officials were called in the assembly chambers and the PTI and PML-Q’s MPAs were thrown out of the assembly chambers.

They were restrained from taking part in the election. False allegation had been levelled against them and a concocted story had been woven against the MPAs.
