Former local body chairman Kallar Syedan, Sheikh Abdul Qudus died of a heart attack on the stage moments after he finished addressing an election rally of PML-N for Punjab Assembly’s constituency PP-7 Rawalpindi on Friday.

Qudus was participating in the election campaign of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz candidate Raja Saghir in the upcoming by-election, Express News reported.

In a video that has gone viral on internet, Qudus can be seen taking his seat after addressing the election rally. A man gives him water but his condition suddenly deteriorates and he faints, falling unconscious on the lap of the person sitting next to him.

Later, he was rushed to a local hospital but declared dead by the doctors who said that Qudus died of cardiac arrest.
