ISLAMABAD:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said that the incumbent government is making every effort to bring the institutions under control.

During a meeting with PTI leader Babar Awan, former prime minister Imran expressed concern over the increasing government interference in the matters of the institutions.

Imran said, “The government is making every effort to bring the institutions under control, and the only way to move forward democracy in the country is immediate transparent elections.”

Awan said that the ruling coalition was trampling democratic traditions in the name of legislation and would fully defend democratic values at the constitutional and legal level. “Constitutional matters will be referred to the judiciary soon.”
