Protecting children’s health critical, says health minister

LAHORE:

Provincial Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique said on Wednesday that measures to save children from malnutrition was the need of the hour.

He chaired a meeting at the Department of Primary and Secondary Healthcare to review the performance of all vertical programs.

He added that hygiene and information on various diseases would be introduced in provincial school curriculums, while Hepatitis, TB and AIDS centers would be expanded across the province.

The minister said that vacancies in various health programs would be filled up soon and that vertical programs were providing free facilities for diagnosis.
