Theatre fest begins at ACP
Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi has released the schedule of dramas for the third "Awami Theater Festival 2022". The 23-day festival is based on 26 dramas and will continue till July 7, with one show daily and two shows on Sunday.
Admission to the festival will be free for the family. For the citizens, plays will be presented in Urdu, Sindhi, Punjabi, Pashto, Seraiki, Balochi and Memoni languages. The dramas feature comedy and classic colours, which the public can fully enjoy. On the festival's second day, Sohail Abbasi's "Bhurban" will be shown to the fans. On the third day, "Meri Beti Raj Karey Gi" will be presented by director Azmat Ali and writer Shamir Rahi. On Sunday, Pervez Siddiqui's first show, the drama "Maza To Ab Aaye Ga", while in the second show, Raf Lala's "Biwi Wapis Karo" will grace the stage.
Ilyas Nadeem's Pashto drama "Mama Day" will be presented on Monday, written by Shaukat Ali Muzaffar. On Tuesday, Jamil Rahi's play "Pakeeza Bai" will be performed, while the next day Danish Baloch's "Dil Wati Sambhal" will be presented in Balochi language.
In the Memoni language, Aftab Kamdar and Amir Hokla's play "Aei Tu Theino" will be the centre of public attention. Younis Memon's play "Kumba Bachao" will be presented on June 24. On Saturday, Zahoor Malik's drama "Kode Khaab" will be shown in the Seraiki language.
On Sunday, Abdul Hameed Rathore and Aamir Hokla's Urdu drama "Gulab Jaman" while Adam Rathore and Ajo Bhai's drama "Pekar-e-Mohabbat" will be presented.
Zakir Mastana's play "Wah Badshah Wah" will be presented on Monday. On June 28, Shakeel Siddiqui's "Mai Na Manu Har". On Wednesday, director Rizwan Sabir and writer Rashid Sabir will have a drama in the Sindhi language called "Hull Panhal". Muhammad Ali Naqvi's Punjabi drama "Chadar" will be presented on Thursday.
On July 1, Zahid Shah's play "Sach Bolna Mana Hay" will add to the stage. Two shows will be aired on Saturday, July 2, including Asif Sharmila's play "Tabdeeli Agai Hay" and Ali Hassan's "Bakray No1". Tasneem Rana's "Aik Almari Teen Beemari" and Adam Rathore's "Mazak Mazak Mai" will be presented on Sunday.
On Monday, Nazir Hussain's play "Fanny Family" will be presented. On Tuesday, "Lo Hum Aen Gay" will be presented. On Wednesday, Khadim Hussain Ochui's play "Yeh Tere Fankar Bande" will be released.
On July 7, Sheema Kirmani's "Dance Drama" will be presented.
