Varied Testimony: Pakistani charged with wife’s murder

Husband’s account of the incident had “changed considerably” in the days since the shooting.

NEW YORK:
The husband of a Pakistani woman, who was gunned down Tuesday night in Boonton, New Jersey, has been arrested and charged with murder, according to US media reports. Kashif Parvaiz, 26, suffered wounds in the shooting that killed his 27-year-old wife, Nazish Noorani. Morris County prosecutor, Robert Bianchi told a news conference that a second suspect, arrested in Boston, had also been charged in the death of Nazish, an emergency medical worker. That suspect, identified as Antoinette Stephen, 26, was being held on $5 million bail and was waiting to be extradited, said Bianchi. He also added that Parvaiz’s account of the incident had “changed considerably” in the days since the shooting.
