KURIANWALA:

A differently-abled woman was raped by unidentified people in Khurrianwala, police said.

According to the police report, a woman lodged a complaint with the Razaabad Police Station in which she said that unidentified people had kidnapped her 32-year-old daughter, who was a differently-abled person, on May 28 from her house.

The complainant said that she had gone out of the house for some work and her daughter was alone at their house when the incident happened.

She told the police that the accused took her to the Sudhar Bypass where they raped her and fled, leaving their victim unconscious.

A passerby spotted her daughter lying unconscious at the crime scene and informed the police.

She was later taken to the General Hospital Ghulam Muhammadabad.

Razaabad Police Station registered a case against unidentified accused and started searching for them.

In the first week of this month, a young woman was allegedly raped in Raza Town in Chak Jhumra.

The accused, who possessed some inappropriate video, had even started blackmailing the victim. Police registered a case and started raids to arrest the accused.

According to the police, a case had been filed by the victim’s brother, a resident of Kokianwala in Raza Town, telling the police that he used to do some printing work with accused Rashid, a resident of Nematabad Road.

Due to his work association with the accused, the later used to visit the former’s house off and on.

He told the police that his sister happened to be alone at home on June 2 when the accused called on.

The complainant told the police that the accused had told his sister that he could help her find a job at a beauty parlour. This was just a ruse the accused used to perpetuate his evil intentions.

He said that his sister took Rashid’s words at face value, not having the vaguest idea what mischief he had been harbouring.

The complainant told the police that his sister naively agreed to accompany the accused who took her to Anasi Mor where he raped her at gunpoint and recorded a video and captured some pictures on his mobile phone.

The accused then started calling his sister consistently, demanding that they meet again or he would make the video viral on social media.

Razaabad police registered a case and started raids to arrest the accused.

Case against couple
