Natasha Noorani drops retro-themed track on infatuation in today's day and age

Mixed by Talal Qureshi, ‘Faltu Pyar’ features Hasan Raheem

Riding in a vintage car, the heartthrob Hasan Raheem comes into the screen owning the rich boy look with a cigarette in hand. With pop music blazing in the background, neon-coloured lights flashing all around, and Natasha Noorani in a retro updo and a reggaeton-ish outfit, the music video for Faltu Pyar is an aesthetic fusion of lost and contemporary times.

Centring a conversation around quick infatuation being confused for love, Noorani and Raheem churned out a mellow track mixed by Talal Qureshi on Sunday— a collaboration no one saw coming.

First things first, Noorani wins the track with her voice piercing through the modern visuals and landing straight into the hearts of listeners. A fan shared that the song “wouldn’t be as fun” without her and we couldn’t agree more. Although, Raheem could’ve done a better job with his part given how his singles have previously taken the internet by storm regardless of how low-budget the production may be.

However, the dynamic duo makes a great couple on screen – an almost palpable chemistry – with their soft voices gelling to tell a groovy tale of finding love in the digital age — which eventually proves to be ‘faltu’.

While we can’t say the same about the song itself, the music video is a treat to watch and social media agrees. It has banger dance moves, a flying sequence, and an extra dose of flamboyance paired with regality and no one’s complaining! Post production has added spice to the otherwise ordinary track with its eye grabbing effects of thunder, collage-y filters, and of course, the new favourite neon colours.

Written and produced by the young singers , Faltu Pyar garnered over 60,000 views on YouTube in just a day.
