Mishi Khan apologises to Aamir Liaquat for saying she'd fund his one-way trip
Actor Mishi Khan recently took to Instagram teary-eyed, condoling the death of TV host and politician Aamir Liaquat Hussain. The Janaan actor posted a three-minute-long video apologising for her past statements against the deceased, confessing her guilt for the things she had said earlier. In the video from June 11, 2022, the actor claimed she was wrong to let her emotions cloud her judgment, feeling a sense of responsibility and remorse for hurting the man she once admired.
She began, expressing her grief, “It pains and saddens me that Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain passed away.”
Mishi went on to reveal she has been feeling immense guilt for her past actions. “I'm very embarrassed and I would like to be excused. He is no longer in this world and my heart was heavy so I couldn't make a video or write a message for him. Humans are emotional beings. Perhaps the things that had been happening the last few days made me feel really bad since I admired him a lot because of his knowledge and personality,” she said.
Reiterating her guilt and sorrow, she claimed to see a man who she looked up to act inappropriately led her to make the video. “I chose the wrong words in that video. Humans are emotional. I made a huge mistake and I am a puppet to my mistakes. Watching such a knowledgeable man and talented host do those things led me to make that video. And people also talk in your ear,” she added.
Mishi continued, “Saying sorry and asking to be excused doesn't make anyone smaller. This is a burden on my heart. I ask Allah for forgiveness if that video hurt his heart, his fans and family.”
Breaking down in tears, the actor concluded with, “It saddens me a lot. I am speechless. I don't have words. But humans make mistakes and I've never made such a video for anyone before and I don't know what led me to make that video. So I would like to ask everyone for forgiveness.”
The video being referred to was made prior to the death of the television personality by Mishi. She shared a video message requesting Aamir to leave the country. She vowed to co-fund his travel and having no remorse for his privacy being violated, she maintained that Aamir was paying the price for his actions. In a clip shared on her Twitter handle, Mishi said, "He either cries or threatens to leave the country. But I want to ask, when are you leaving? If there's an issue then all of us can get you a one-way ticket so you can finally go where you plan to, rest and in the meantime, get your brain checked."
