100 Balochistan health units upgraded
Balochistan government spokesperson Farah Azeem Shah has said that the provincial government had upgraded 100 primary health units across the province.
She added that the provincial government was taking all possible steps to provide health facilities to the people in remote areas.
Talking to reporters, she maintained that to improve the health sector, the provincial government has upgraded 100 primary health centers in the province to Basic Health Units (BHU) Plus and 30 primary health centers to Health Rural Centers (HRC) Plus.
She added that work had also been resumed on closed development projects in the health sector.
Farah Azeem Shah said that all the basic health centers of the province have been made fully functional and health facilities, medicines and emergency facilities are being provided to the people of remote areas so that the people can get health facilities at their doorsteps.
She shared that the condition of the headquarters hospitals had also been improved, and the deployment and presence of doctors and medical staff has been ensured in every possible way so that the problems related to medical treatment to the people can be addressed.
In addition, the supply of medicines, vehicles and medical equipment is reducing health problems, she noted. The spokesperson said that the provision of modern medical equipment and other facilities in the district headquarters hospitals would provide facilities to the people related to health and medical treatment in their districts.
She said that the health sector was one of the top priorities of the provincial government.
