Court orders release of accused in Dua kidnapping case

12 had been arrested for alleged involvement

KARACHI:

The Judicial Magistrate East has ordered the release of the accused arrested in the case of alleged kidnapping of Dua Zahra for personal bonds.

 A case related to the kidnapping of Dua Zahra was heard in the Judicial Magistrate's Court in Karachi City Court.

 As many as twelve accused, including a woman arrested in the case were produced in the court.

 The court questioned the police about the whereabouts of Zaheer, the main accused in the case.

 DSP Shaukat replied that he was not an investigating officer.

 The arrested accused include an aged lady, Fida Bibi, Asif, Maqbool Ahmed, Nazir Ahmed, Mohammad Anis, Asghar, Jahangir, Mohammad Omar, Qadeer, Mohammad Ahmed, Ghulam Mustafa and Ghulam Nabi.

 The plaintiff's lawyer argued that the girl's statement had not been recorded.

 The aged woman kept crying in the court and said that she is innocent.

 The investigating officer said that the mobile SIM which was on the name of Zaheer's aunt Fida Bibi was used for contacting Zaheer.

 Dua Zahra and Zaheer also stayed at the residence of Fida Bibi.

 The elderly woman says that she did not allow Dua Zahra and Zaheer to stay at her home.
