Ten days after it was flooded, Badin’s been left with one to two days’ supply of drinking water. Two water filter plants have closed down.
The Pakistan Navy, Army and the Rangers are conducting rescue operations in the areas. The number of relief camps in Badin has been increased to 374 but the people face a shortage of food and water. Five breaches in the Amir Shah saline drainage has flooded Jhaddo city and the water is now advancing towards Turai city.
