IG directs officials to arrest suspects using CCTV footage

KARACHI:

A trader was deprived of Rs5 million at gunpoint outside the bank by two robbers in the area of Landhi.

As per details, two unidentified robbers on motorcycle snatched a bag carrying Rs5 million from a trader in the Landhi No. 6. SHO Landhi Amin Mughal told Express that Arsalan, a resident of Landhi No. 6, had left his house to deposit Rs5 million in the bank on his motorcycle. He was stopped outside the bank at gunpoint by two unidentified robbers on a motorcycle who snatched his money.

The accused easily managed to escape from the scene after committing the crime. Police reached the scene after receiving information about the incident. The police have gathered the CCTV footage and started the investigation to arrest the suspects as soon as possible. The area was cordoned off to apprehend the perpetrators. The police will be able to locate and apprehend the criminals soon, the SHO said.

Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon on Monday took notice of the incident and ordered the Police to immediately mobilise the police teams in the area to apprehend the suspects.

The IGP has directed the police teams to arrest the culprits with the help of CCTV footage. He said that any negligence during the investigation will not be tolerated.
