Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif test positive for Covid-19
Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif have tested positive for Covid-19, reported Hindustan Times. The actors, who were last spotted at ace filmmaker Karan Johar's 50th birthday party last month, are the recent celebrities to have contracted the virus.
Khan being tested positive for Covid was confirmed by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The politician wished a quick recovery for the Zero star as reports suggested that he has tested positive for Covid-19.
Banerjee wrote on Twitter, “Just came to know that our Brand Ambassador Shahrukh Khan has been detected covid positive. Pray for the fastest recovery for the superstar. Get well Shahrukh! Spring back asap!”
Kaif, who was allegedly supposed to travel to the UAE for IIFA 2022, stayed back as her husband, Vicky Kaushal made a solo appearance on the coveted green carpet. According to a report by News18, Katrina has completed her quarantine period. When Vicky was asked about Katrina not being with him in Abu Dhabi for the IIFA Awards, he said, “Even I am missing us together as well”.
Johar's 50th birthday saw who's who of Bollywood making an appearance. The director has received backlash - once again - for 'spreading Covid' as his house comes under the radar once again for being a coronavirus hotspot.
"Several of Karan’s close friends from the Bollywood film industry are Covid-infected after the party, although they do not reveal that they’ve tested positive. In fact, Kartik Aaryan who was not at Karan Johar’s party tested positive for Covid, he got the virus from one of his heroines who were there at the party and with whom Kartik was promoting his film,” a source was quoted as saying in a Bollywood Hungama report.
