A large protest rally was taken out on Saturday by brick kiln workers in the districts demanding social security. The protest was organised by the kiln workers union and a large group of labourers and their families protested at Adda Bund Bosan. The rally was led by kiln workers union president Muhammad Hussain Khokhar. Khokhar said that the social security department should issue social security cards to workers and that strict action should be taken against those kiln owners who pay lower wages than the stipulated minimum wage.
