Railways vows to protect passengers from hot weather
Railways management has instructed the officials concerned to take measures to provide relief to the passengers from the ongoing hot weather.
Additional General Manager Amir Baloch has reportedly sent a letter to the officials, calling for deputing staff to ensure the required facilities, including keeping coolers running continuously to provide cold water free of charge to the passengers on the trains and at stations, increasing the number of sheds and operating the fans on the platforms and trains.
They were also urged to solve any problem reported by passengers without delay.
The railways divisional commercial officers were advised to install new sheds at the platforms where necessary so that the passengers waiting for trains would not face any difficulty in the hot weather.
