The cases against the party leaders were registered in the context of the former ruling party’s recently held long march to Islamabad.

The court also issued a notice to the home secretary and others upon Asad Qaiser's request and ordered the secretary and other parties to submit their replies by the next hearing.

In addition, the IHC inquired into the number of cases registered against Qaiser in all four provinces and those by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
