KARACHI:

A fire broke out in a textile factory in the site area.

Nine fire brigade vehicles, two bowsers and a snorkel took part in the rescue operation to douse the flames with a struggle of three hours. No casualties were reported in the incident.

According to details, a fire broke out in a textile factory near Walika Hospital in the site area on Saturday morning.

Four fire trucks were dispatched initially, but the fire intensified, after which five more vehicles, two bowsers and a snorkel were also sent.

Fire brigade officials said that the fire broke out on the second floor of the building.

The corridors were very narrow as a result firefighters could not enter the fire area.

The firefighters then used snorkel to throw water from outside.
