LONDON:

Batsman Eoin Morgan has been named captain of England’s 13-man squad that will face his native Ireland in a One-Day International (ODI) in Dublin on August 25.

Morgan, who is the Twenty20 vice-captain, will lead an England team for the first time as several players have been rested ahead of the ODI series against India. “The squad involves a number of exciting young England players as we rest several players currently involved in the Test series against India,” he said.
