Jack Dorsey is no longer a part of Twitter's Board of Directors
After resigning as a CEO of Twitter and playing an important role in the sale of the company to Elon Musk, Jack Dorsey has now exited Twitter's Board of Directors. The departure of Dorsey was planned as his term expired at the 2022 meeting of stockholders.
Dorsey has been focusing on his American financial services and digital payments company, Block, Cnet reported. For the very reason he has been distancing himself from the roles and responsibilities at Twitter.
Dorsey has previously served as the CEO of the social media platform twice. He has been in favor of the company's sale to Elon Musk. "Elon’s goal of creating a platform that is 'maximally trusted and broadly inclusive' is the right one", Dorsey tweeted. 'Elon is the singular solution I trust. I trust his mission to extend the light of consciousness', he further added.
The exit of Jack Dorsey is an end of an era as he has been associated with company since the very beginning. Moreover, with Dorsey's departure from the board, all the confounders have now officially cut off their ties with the social media platform.
