Post Graduate Medical Institute Principal Dr Sardar Muhammad Alfreed Zafar has instructed hospital staff to ensure the care of people affected by the ongoing heat wave, especially children and the elderly.
Hospital administration was directed to monitor the blood pressure, temperature and pulse of vulnerable patients.
Prof Al-freed Zafar added that due to diarrhea and dehydration, patients should drink sufficient quantities of water mixed with ORS to prevent physical weakness.
Prof Al-freed Zafar appealed to citizens to beware of the effects of extreme weather.
