Actor Mohsin Abbas Haider recently teased his upcoming short film, titled Main Shah Rukh Khan Hoon. According to the poster and the actor’s caption on Instagram, the film will see Haider playing multiple roles. The release date of the film is yet to be announced. The actor also deemed the film one of his “personal favourite projects as an actor”.
Sharing the poster on social media, which sees Haider in four different avatars, the actor wrote in the caption, “Finally sharing the poster of one of my personal favourite projects as an actor.” He added, “I played 5 different characters in this short film. Any actor’s dream project.”
The film is directed by Babar Mehmood, with the actor sharing in the comments section of the post that the film is set for a digital release, with the platform to be announced soon. The actor shared two posters, one in English and the other in Hindi.
In 2019, Haider, who was accused of domestic abuse against his wife, was found guilty by a lower court in Lahore of threatening his wife Fatema Sohail. In January 2020, she filed a petition against the actor in a family court wherein she sought financial support. According to reports, Haider had refused to cover the expenses of his child because of being 'unemployed' at the time. In the response he submitted to the court, he had said, “I was previously paying for the expenses of Fatima and my son. However, I can’t pay for them anymore because I don’t have a job or money."
Meanwhile, Sohail had told The Express Tribune that Haider was projecting himself as a charitable person on social media. “Mohsin has the means to project his charity on social media, pretending to be an extremely giving person, yet he does not have money for his son? That does not make sense," she had said. Haider was accused of both domestic violence and infidelity by his former wife. The actor has denied all allegations.
