PESHAWAR:

Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar (WSSP) Board of Directors in its meeting on Tuesday reviewed water supply duration and approved increase in supply for a maximum of nine hours a day. This duration will be followed throughout summer season to meet the demand that usually increases.

The decision to increase the duration of water supply was taken in light of rise in temperature. Previously, consumers would get water for seven hours a day while the duration was six hours in winter.

Dr Nasir gave a detailed briefing on the overall aspects of the operations, pointing out challenges and strategies and its implementation to turn them into opportunities. The board also set up committees for smooth running and monitoring of administrative, financial and operational affairs of the company.
