The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Monday expressed "deep concerns" at the attempts by Narendra Modi administration to redraw electoral boundaries of the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK).
The Delimitation Commission earlier notified the new boundaries, names and number of seats for the puppet constituent assembly of IIOJK.
The organistion, in a series of tweets, said the move would alter demographic structure of the territory, violating the rights of the Kashmiri people.

The bloc also expressed solidarity with the people of Kashmir in their struggle for the right of self-determination.
The OIC urged the international community, specifically the UN Security Council to take note of the implications of the ongoing delimitation exercise in the occupied territory.
Last week, the National Assembly unanimously passed a resolution to denounce the latest attempt at demographic engineering in Kashmir through the commission constituted in March 2020.

The assembly expressed grave concern over the series of illegal measures taken by the Indian occupation forces to change the demographics of the territory, in violation of international law, “particularly the Fourth Geneva Convention and relevant resolutions of the UNSC,” the draft read.
Lawmakers believed that the delimitation is aimed at “artificially altering the electoral strength of the Muslim majority, noting that the commission’s recommendations were rejected by the cross-section of political parties in IIOJK.
The drafted resolution stated that Pakistan categorically rejected the report of the commission which “seeks to convert the Muslim majority region into a minority, and further marginalise, disenfranchise and disempower the Kashmiri population.”
