Netflix is reportedly expanding its services to include live streaming for stand-up specials and other live concerts.

This year, the content streaming platform held its first-ever comedy festival in person, called Netflix is a Joke Fest. Heald in Los Angeles, the event featured over 130 popular comedians and will be aired later this month.

The new feature if added could also potentially open up the option of unscripted series, like other linear networks that air big competitions series. Netflix's greatest rivals, Disney Plus has already begun a live streaming feature, airing the Academy Awards live in February.
