Appalled: UN chief condemns Jamrud attack

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Friday condemned “in the strongest terms” the suicide attack.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Friday condemned “in the strongest terms” the suicide attack at a mosque in Jamrud. “The secretary-general is appalled at this deliberate attack at a place of worship during the Muslim holy month of Ramazan, and the reported use of a teenager to perpetrate the attack,” his spokesman Farhan Haq said in a statement read out at the regular noon briefing.
