Crackdown launched on illegal fuel agencies
Sheikhupura District Police launched several operations against illegal petrol and LPG refilling stations.
According to details, the District Police Officer (DPO) of Sheikhupura, Faisal Mukhtar, issued orders to all SDPOs and SHOs of Haza district to crack down on illegal petrol stations and LPG gas refilling stations in their respective areas.
The crackdown was launched in the wake of the incident in Jhabran Mandi earlier this week, where an explosion occurred in an illegal petrol and LPG station. Around seven people were killed in the incident.
DPO Mukhtar and the administration took strict notice and launched the crackdown in different areas of Police Station A and B Divisions, Jhamke, Jhabran, Machhike, Dhantpura, GTS Ada, and other areas.
Police registered 69 cases and arrested 63 accused throughout the operation. The administration issued strict orders against illegal petrol and LPG refilling agencies in the district. They also appealed to the people through advertisements in print and electronic media. If anyone covertly carries out this dangerous and deadly business, it should be immediately brought to the notice of the administration.
