House robbed in broad daylight
Two robbers on a motorcycle broke into a house, and snatched gold jewellery and a mobile phone from a woman at gunpoint in broad daylight in the limits of Sihala police station.
Police said that the owner of the house is Ijaz who lived with his family on Rawat Navy Road. They added that the robbers had shot and injured a security guard during a robbery.
The robbers have not been arrested so far. Residents of the area have demanded of Inspector General Police Islamabad and Police Senior Superintendent Islamabad to take immediate notice of the incompetence of checkpost in-charge Rawat and SHO Sihala.
Meanwhile, residents claimed that the Central Police Office (CPO) Rawalpindi OSI branch in-charge is allegedly involved in the stationing of a corrupt sub-inspector with a bad reputation for an extended period of time.
They were of the view that the sub-inspector has been devouring millions of rupees every month by becoming the patron of members of the land mafia, criminals and drug dealers for more than 10 months.
Citizens have appealed to the Chief Minister Punjab and Inspector General of Punjab to immediately replace the OSI in charge and his preferred police officers posted who colluded.
